need to view this Web site?

technology. This includes the use of JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets. Visitors
are required to use Microsoft Internet Explorer (4.x, 5.x or 6.x) or Netscape

Q.
I've misplaced some parts while building one of your kits. Can I get replacements?
A. JAKS stands behind all it's products and we will gladly replace
any missing, damaged or broken parts, regardless of where you purchased the kit.
Q. What is resin casted?
A. Please see our
Product Glossary >>.
Q. Are any of your products built?
A. Sorry to say we don't offer any products pre-built. We suggest
contacting your local hobby clubs for members who might do that.
Q. What type of glue do I use for assembling resin casted models?
A. We suggest using either ACC or Epoxy cement, ONLY.
Q. What type of paints can I use on your products?
A. We suggest any WATER BASED hobby paint. But before you start,
always wash
your castings in warm water to clean off release agents.
Q. What is a craftsman kit?
A. Please see our
Product Glossary >>.
Q. Does size, scale, really matter?
A. No. Think for a moment what size is a broom, clock, dish.
Those items alone come in all sizes and shapes, and are used in many applications.
So scale really does not matter unless you talking doors, or something like that.
Q. I model in 1/35th scale. Do you make the furniture you sell in HO-Scale
in 1/35th?
A. No we don't. But a lot of our items still can be used in 1/35th,
1/32nd, etc. Tables for example, are in all sizes, so are picture frames and sinks.
Some of our dishes would work, whereas a cup would not.
Q. I see you sell Log Skidders in several scales,
what is the difference?
A. Truthfully, none. Log Skidders come in all shapes and sizes.
We suggest you look at any logging book for more information.
Q. Are the line drawings of your parts shown "actual size"?
A. No. All line drawings are representations of the products
we manufacture.
Q. What does "scale" mean?
A. Please see our Product
Glossary >>.
Q. The photos of some of your kits show figures,
autos, etc. Are these included with the kit?
A. All photos of all products are representations of
what our items can look like when finished. No figures, autos, or scenery items
are included in our kits.
Q. The drawing that came with my "tractor"
kit shows some parts that were not included in the kit.
A. The instructions and drawings of the Alloy Forms
"tractors" are generic. They represent various ways that particular
model can be finished, and not necessarily all parts shown are included with every
kit.
Q. Can the
Jensen Oil pump be motorized?
A. Yes, by adding steel rod/wires to all pivot points
and installing a motor under the bench-work, connected to the pump rod.
Q. Does the Scale Structures Turntable come with a motor and pit?
A. No motors are provided for that kit at this time.
One is in the works for that kit though. Also, the pits needed for these kits
must be custom built per application of the turntable.
